A Thanksgiving Reminder:

When interruptions become invitations.

Not a setback…, an invitation from God.

This morning did not go the way I planned. I got up early, ready to ride my Peloton before the Thanksgiving hustle began, and of course, the WiFi refused to connect. I felt that frustration rising, the “this is not how today is supposed to start” feeling.

But right in the middle of that moment, I felt a gentle whisper. A nudge from God saying, “Let it go. Come sit with Me instead.”

So instead of riding, I’m writing. Instead of pushing through my plan, I’m following His. And honestly, I am grateful for the redirection.

Sometimes the things that go “wrong” are actually invitations. Invitations to slow down, pay attention, and be rooted in what matters most. Today isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence, It's about gratitude, It's about letting God lead, even in the small , unexpected interruptions.

As I start this first blog post on Thanksgiving, my heart is thankful. Thankful for new beginnings, for God’s faithfulness, for the rooted journey unfolding, and for the reminder that joy is found in the moments we don’t rush past.

So if your morning isn’t perfect, if things go sideways, or if your plan gets flipped upside down, breathe. God might be leading you somewhere other than what you had in mind.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends.

May your day be calm, joy-filled, and beautifully rooted in Him.
